I remember the first time I watched it and I was sobbing too. The bit that got me was when Jack returned to Room and how small it actually was set in. Like thinking back to the opening section and how the camera work showed Room from Jackās perspective and then the harsh reality of itās actually size. Amazing film

Whatās terrifying is that itās inspired by the real-life case of Elisabeth Fritzl. Her story is so horrifying and so is the thought that many women all over the world live this way. It also reminds me of the Ariel Castro kidnappings, he kidnapped and held 3 women captive for YEARS, he also r@ped them and had a child with one of them. He was sentenced to life plus 1,000 years in prison, but killed himself a month later.

I watched this movie for the first time when I was 13. I cried the entire time! Brie Larson does an excellent job portraying what life is like after being rescued. I feel like a lot of movies end with the captor being caught and few show what happens next. I couldn't imagine the amount of confusion, anger, and depression that comes when trying to reenter society. This was a great reaction!
