You are absolutely correct about the loss of trust of legitimate call centers that have people from India and obvious Indian accents. I try to remind myself that I called and used the number from the phone application, did not get the call from them and that it will be fine. But finding out they do legit work on the side scares me. It has me wonder if they steal information for customers of the legit work for their scam work.

I think there is more but serious cooperation needed between Embassy and Delhi Cyber cops. Separate courts should be setup to fast track trial of such cases. Good job Karl! Eye opener indeed, you risked your life, pls be underground now. God bless!

I'm an NRI and my friends used to joke around about me not having the Amazon tech support accent since I have a natural American accent. It's among friends, so it was just a joke and I never took it in a negative light as they don't harass me or anything. But it does shed light on how these scammers are ruining our image on the global level. I hope serious actions are taken against this by the authorities.
