Roy was not a handsome man. No doubt he endured much rejection and heartbreak. He displayed to the world his heartbreaks and disappointment. The same pain much of us endured. He barred his sole with the most haunting voice possible. He brought our pain to the surface, god love him.

I loved everything he ever did. I get chills listening to him. The first time I saw him was at a Starbird Custom Car show in Wichita, KS in 57 or 58 on a tiny stage in the corner...before he hit it big I think.
