The look on his face when he says "Nothing on the record is a big muff or jazzmaster" is the best part of this video.

I love how he's just bonking all of the guitars every time he pulls another one out of the rack haha. J is the man.

“Buy high, sell low.” Wise words.

Is it just me, or is J getting more talkative as these videos go on? Love to see it <3

I've watched probably every J Mascis interview on the internet, and this is probably the most joyful he has come across. Love to see it!

I love how he carelessly clanks his extremely expensive guitars against each other when he pulls them off the stands.

The guy who made guitar solos cool again amongst indie bands. What a legend.

I can never get over how strange it is now to have such access to artists, back when I was teenager listening to all these bands there was definitely an added layer of enigma, quite often you didn’t even know what the people in the bands actually looked like, go back through all those dinosaur albums and I don’t think there was even a picture of them in there. Unless you were lucky enough to see them live, and there will be many places around the world buying the CD’s that they have probably never visited, or went out of your way to pick up one of the few publications at the time that were even covering them. I always loved J’s playing, he was one of the few guitarists who’s solo’s seemed to tell their own story, instead of mindlessly going for the note count record he always delivered a solo with its own melody.

J is the guy that made me want to play the guitar. I saw a picture of him in Transworld Skateboarding in 1989 playing his original Jazzmaster. I thought “that’s the guitar that makes THAT sound, that’s what I want to play.” 33 years later I still play Jazzmasters & still love J’s playing.

This man snuck shredding into the scene behind our backs and we loved him for it.

Outstanding, can we have a 90 min version of exactly the same? He appears more "charismatic" than he used to, maybe age suits him. Always a favourite and suspect he will go down as one of the most influential of the generation. Yes I am a fanboy!

I love how J doesn't really GAF about impressing people & it impressed the hell out of most people. How he shrugs off how amazing "Where You Been" & "Without A Sound" were (almost solo efforts tbh), constantly pans the sound of Green Mind + really just doesn't give a sh*t what others think YET his music is incredible. The early stuff, the Sire years, the after albums. The Fog stuff, solo stuff, all of it. J just being J. He's real, man. He's just real.

J has been in my top 10 guitarists for nearly 30 years. He’s an enigmatic, brilliant player with such incredible bite and touch at the same time. Never change, maestro. Never change. Massive thanks from Scotland.

I'm a simple man, I see J Mascis, I click. Shoutout Greg Sage, I think he's still around in Phoenix, he deserves a documentary.

As a lifelong j mascis/dinosaur Jr fan, I love how punk rock j is! The fact that he made an affordable model in the price range of when he first started buying guitars is so fukin awesome! And shows that he truly cares about his fans and fanbase and the pockets of young kids and struggling parents! We need more dudes like j to teach the youth!
