This game should be held in the classic archives, i could not take my eyes off it. 30.30 to 33.35 is my favourite part of this whole video, although the whole lot is pure class. Jimmy and alex were brilliant, going by jimbo's eyes he's no had much sleep, alex is a joy to watch and is such a character, and can play very good stuff, the whole set up, mosconi cup, europe trailing 10-8, the bar they have thare with the briliant bar man, great crowd, alex and jimmy straight into the drinks and ciggs, alex with his little dance shuffle, the brilliant mike massey with bobby hunter who were up for a laugh, and were brilliant sportsmen, alex looks in that so innocent mode at times but then just switches on like a light. Sid wadell in the comentary box, man you could not make up a better night of mosconi cup pool. Also the pool was pretty good, the cannons onto the 9 ball lit the place up and the one to finish it off was class. Im writing this in 2021 and this was 26 years ago., im pleased its here to see but also sad that this type of atmosphere with these types of players with a bar thare has been lost. Never see the likes of this again. As the old world slides away and technology takes over. Its why gems like this should be kept and re mastered in archives under the best mosconi cup games ever. Great to watch.

Alex quite clearly loved what he did. It's a shame it ended too soon for him. Jimmy lost a good friend but at least we can all see the memories.

Alex Higgins’ the original Jedi master’s shot on 11 mins I think is one of the best one single pool shots you will ever see. Even in 95 he still had the vision and the skill to do that. The modern players are superb now and the general standard is higher but Higgins at his very best would be a match for any of them. Amusingly, he doesn’t even really know the rules of 9 ball he’s on the drink and he is still sublime at times. What Alex Higgins and Jimmy White don’t know about cue sports isn’t worth knowing. Legends.

Everything about this is amazing. Alex on the piss, Jimmy coked out of his mind and having a smoke, Mike and Bobby clearly up for a laugh and a joke (and Mike lending Alex his cue), Sid having the time of his life in the commentary box, the bartender, the trickshots, the noisy (yet still respectful) Basildon faithful. Just incredible
