It's an often fragmented and episodic score but there are many powerfully evocative gestures and moments. Getting Satô to do the score helped put this show far ahead in overall quality. I'm not sure how active Satô was after the first of the five seasons. He is always credited, and I believe no one else ever composed for it (?), but Satô died a few years before production ended. As there were gap years in production it's hard to even make an educated guess.
