The best example of a simple tune, which sells 10 million+ copies and becomes world famous ^^ Instead of score, notes or musical complexity, this song is about synth/chip sound, and harmonic interplay which makes the human brain feel good, sort of like " mathematical shifts " which feel good. The notes are almost non-existent... so it's only that. Also it's " chill / ambient / synth / electro " so the average person in society does like sort of chill sound on the radio or in their mp3 player... more than fast and mayhem, which is mostly teenagers and young 20's (the main bracket), or people which naturally feel happy from that, which in my view is mostly 1) soldiers and emotionally disturbed people which need a certain invigorating or uplifting music, 2) academic or high IQ people which feel satisfaction from lots of notes (not 3 notes in a loop for x time (I bet most people repeat it 10x times) with shifts & echoes, as in this song " Eple "). The synth/chip sound in this song stays in your head until the next day, like on repeat, so yeah the synth/chip sound is sort of ' pretty ' and also difficult for the brain to process so it's 'getting stored' for over 12 hours and then you keep hearing the song even only after 3 listens
