Drakeās idea of Blackness is stereotypical. He cosplays Blackness using stereotypes and takes it off at will. Never connects to Black issues or needs. Black people arenāt a monolith. Thereās plenty of dorky suburban Black people. If thatās who he is thatās fine. Itās the limited idea of Blackness that relies on tropes thatās problematic

What i think Pat cc and others aren't realizing is why would Kendrick go all out in the first round? And i agree with Dee that people are misunderstanding what Kdot really means when he says, "Let's not get personal" and "keep it friendly." He's pretty much suggesting Drake shouldn't take it there unless he really wants Kdot to be on that type of timing

IMPORTANT ā¼ļø #PSA ITS NOT ABOUT DRAKE BEING LIGHTSKIN ā¼ļø Itās about Drake being a mixed kid from the Ashkenazi community that cosplays āurbanā hip hop culture, that he CLEARLY is not only NOT OF, but also mocks ā¼ļø Some of his mocking is deliberate (which is DEFINED AS EXPLOITATION) and some of it is due to being an outsider (co-signed or allowed a seat at the table) by the ones in our culture.. and to move as he does (like exploiters) he BLATANTLY allows the machine of exploiters MORE ACCESS and control to manipulate our communities, while he gets rewarded as if heās the actual thing.. ITS DISGUSTING (and is why he has no problems agreeing to Ai version of 2Pac voice on a lame diss track verse.. Pac stands for the complete opposite of what Drake is/ represents) Our culture is not for play play. Stop playing when you press play. Enjoy. From NYC, love to all. Bless.
