I think somebody said something like “it’s not an easy decision to make?” and I couldn’t agree more…I def don’t think women are getting abortions like they’d get their nails done or something…this division between pro-life and pro-choice is just that: divisive. While I personally don’t think I would get an abortion because I do believe that a fetus is a baby and I do believe it is sad that they have no say, I would never ever try to stop or judge or undermine or hate someone who comes to the DIFFICULT decision to get an abortion. I am pro-life AND pro-choice! If there is a danger to the mom, she most definitely should be able to make that choice for her body. If she is not in a place to be able to take care of the baby, then yes. Make the hard and sometimes heartbreaking decision to terminate the pregnancy! Because we don’t need another child in the world who is neglected and emotionally damaged because there just wasn’t the means to take care of them. The government should not be able to control a woman’s body and like Mr. Sanger said: illegalizing abortion doesn’t end abortion. It just makes it more dangerous. Second, Church and state should not be mixed and I find it abhorrent that republicans keep using Christianity to make decisions that are undermining the rights of women or minorities. It smears poop on the rest of us Christians who are trying to live by the real message of love and grace.
