I stumbled across a Saturday Night's Main Event when I was 8, and I saw the Ultimate Warrior. I was hooked right away. I went to house shows, I watched wrestling every Saturday, I had all the action figures, tons of magazines, posters, foam fingers, home videos and t-shirts. I even had the LOD shoulder pads. Say what you want about Warrior, but back in the day, kids like me loved wrestling because of him.

He came about at the time of Arnold, stallone and Van Dame. All teens at the time were affected by movies and wrestling, our heroes and we wanted to look like them. I started bodybuilding and did well, took first in the Visalia California Lightweight bodybuilding championships which qualified me for nationals. I had many friends obsessed with that look and although I never discussed it with them, I don't think they ever stopped taking the supplements to maintain that look needed to maintain that look because three of them have died and they were in their early 50’s. Movies and wrestling really shaped the thinking of many of the young guys from my time.

Brutus talking shit about the warrior cracks me up. Warrior was a top guy, whether these guys want to admit it or not. Could he wrestle? No, but then again neither could a lot of the attractions. But Brutus Beefcake?? Lol. That guy was the drizzling shits himself. Buff Bagwell was too.
