As a victim of “mean girl” type of bullying, this song resonates with me so much. The most painful thing about what I’ve gone through is that at the time I didn’t understand what was happening, I thought i was being treated that way because of something I did wrong, and it’s messed up my self esteem for years. Now that I’m older and able to come to terms with it, and I’m not that weak little victim anymore, I’m angry. I feel like I just want to go back in time to when I was a child and scream at the people who bullied me for excluding me the way they did, and take back the power that was stolen from me, I feel like this song says the things I wasn’t strong enough to say.

Someone please explain to me how Avril and her management had the sense not to release this song on a single and not to make a music video for this song.
This song - along with I'm with you - is still by far the highlight of Avril's musical career. The power and energy in it is brutal.
