She wrote “Runaway” when she was 11 years old, and at that age she didn’t quite understand the meaning of the song. But as she grew older she knew that “home” meant home to her parents, the safest place to “fall”❤️

“Through the eyes of a child” is one of her most important songs
“Conqueror”, she didn’t want to perform this on concerts in the first years, she didn’t feel that it represented her
“Murder Song”, I absolutely love this version, but I recommend you watching the acoustic version live at the Nobel Peace Prize concert 2015
If you want to learn who Aurora is, I recommend watching the documentary “Once Aurora”, it’s both intimate and at times heartbreaking
You get to see how much work she puts into her music, and how she refuses to sing “Conqueror”

Wonderful reaction once again! And wow, I'm surprised you haven't actually heard Murder Song prior to this. It's one of those songs that get recommended a lot after all. But hey, now you get to listen to the acoustic version too and see how different that is to the studio version. I personally prefer the studio version, I love how psychedelic it sounds with the dissonance between the very tragic lyrics and the upbeat music, but I'm also with the other comments suggesting you to check out Aurora's live performance of Murder Song in the Nobel Peace Prize concert. It's something else.

for me the part of murder song that make me have lots of theories that might not be a mercifully kill is the
"I know he knows that he is killing me for mercy"
for me the speaker of the songs it's convincing herself that the one killing her must be doing it for her or the killer convinced her that the world was not worth living and that she would get hurt by the world so it would be better not to live

You must really watch Aurora perform "murder song" live at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert live. Very stripped down in terms of arrangement - but not an emotional impact. And thank you - it was fun to listen through this one of my favourite albums with you and ponder your POVs.
