What I like about Barty Crouch Jr teaching the students imperius is that he starts it out all playful like “Hey yeah this is fun! Making this insect do my bidding, looks like a great time isn’t it!?” Before very quickly escalating it to “I can make them off themselves too…” it just really emphasises why it can be such a terrifying spell.

I absolutely love how suddenly the mood of Moody’s(heheh, pun) class shifted. From being funny with him having the bug do funny stunts and climbing on people, to suddenly giving the idea that people could commit suicide from the strength of it, jumping out a window, or even drowning themselves.
