So, I base them off of certain events because I think it makes more sense other than @TheRubyEmpireForever's one that just goes back in time, mine also includes future possible events.

For those who dont feel like googling up what happened in the year 536. Basically it was the year that nearly ended humanity. Volcanoes errupted causing crops and irrigation to fail and starvation began and a lot of people lost their lives. The earth temp also dropped by 2.5°C or 36.5°F. Unfortunately this would continue for up to a year. It even snowed in china in the summer that year

i love how a singular, small war, a sound being removed, and a dude dying (altough he was a legend) makes a year worse then a year in the middle of the bloodiest war in history

The scariest part is this is all recorded history, no telling what happened in unrecorded history

1990-2022 are honestly the best years of humanity It is true that still some bad things happened but humanity didn't suffer that much compared to other eras

I love how in the arc of the 530s he barely explains anything about it, I had to look each year up and I feel like it was less disturbing than I thought it was, it's literally about the worlds temperature that happened during these times.

The worst thing with COVID wasn't even the virus it self. It was more the governments (especially here in Germany where I'm from) did to the people.

The year of 538 was dark, a mysterious grey cloud rolled over Europe and caused many crops to fail, starving almost everyone, and it lasted until the end of the year. A third of Europe had died.

For anyone not knowing what happen in 538 (according to google) Byzantine Empire March 12 – Siege of Rome: King Vitiges of the Ostrogoths ends his siege (after 374 days) and abandons Rome. He retreats with his Gothic army northeast along the Via Flaminia. Belisarius attacks the Goths when they have crossed the Milvian Bridge. 537: Siege of Rome, (537–538). The desire of Emperor Justinian to restore the full extent of the Roman Empire led to a struggle for control of Italy between his Byzantine army, led by Belisarius, and the kingdom of the Ostrogoths. Belisarius liberated Rome from the Goths, but then had a hard fight to hold the city.

As someone who’s anemic (and thereby weak to the sun and heat), a year without summer sounds like heaven to me!
