The Heritage Railway Medemblik - Hoorn is a heritage railway in the Netherlands. It runs from Medemblik to Hoorn and vice versa. Each ride has a distance of approximately 20 km (12.4 miles), making it the longest steam train ride in the Netherlands.
In our previous video about steam trains, we did not cover the entire ride. This time, we did. We were a little early in terms of timing, but luckily we saw tulips on our route! The best timing to go is at the end of April or beginning of May, which is called 'time travel through the tulips'. For more information, I would recommend visiting the website www.stoomtram.nl. Here you will find information in Dutch, English, and German.
The ride also offers views of the countryside, beautiful houses, windmills, and people waving at us. It's a train ride that brings us joy just by being on it. Enjoy nature and the beautiful views when the weather is nice!
Starting next week, we will begin uploading videos of our Interrail/Eurail trip.
We hope you enjoy our videos!
