I thought, what if I try to make an animation meme without drawing anything... but with the same kind of disquiet, slightly edgy, but also cute style? And featuring a meme from SCIENCE?

This time it is "Body" using robotics videos.
If computer graphics is the metaphor for dissociation, then robotics is the metaphor for body dysphoria. Breaking bodies happens everyday. and struggling with "sim to real" is a precise analog of body dysphoria. Sim to real is when a robot controller AI trains in a simulation, then runs on a real robot. Because the simulation is not real, the AI usually gets confused and stumbles around as if it has gotten into a body that is just a bit too heavy here, light there, with this joint too tight, and that motor too slow, etc. It is still an unsolved problem.

As someone who suffers from depersonalization and body dysphoria, watching those machines struggling with their cumbersome bodies really hits close to home. I genuinely appreciate this video and am hoping to see more content like this in the future.

I always really love the concept of robots and dysphoria together because it just seems to fit together so well in my mind(and the angst aha) so this video was really fun to watch! (I do feel bad for the robots being bullied though, even if it's for science and they don't really have sentience 😢) Also idk if you can get copyrighted with these clips but you should prolly link them in the desc just to be on the safe side 🤷♀️

Something weird for a change. Combining body dysphoria and robotics, two subjects I have personal experience with. Combining two subjects I'm familiar with is something happens once in a while. Like, I did one with ponies and Christianity, Rain World and Buddhism, dissociation and Stanford bunny. Now body dysphoria and robotics. Hope you like this, even though I understand if this is completely different from the usual kind of content. (Hundreds of robots were harmed in the making of the video.)
