The lyrics are so much better in this version. It's so beautiful. The Strokes are the OG lofi rock. My music producer friend pointed out to me that the strokes were lofi. Does anyone know if Julian is playing the keys? If you like The Strokes you should check out Lonely Gimmick - Stay At Home To Sleep In, its my friends lofi music. Gives me Strong Strokes vibes. He did it all himself. I'm honestly so impressed by it.

It's some kind of a lo-fi feeling, that captures the fragrance of an entire era (late 90's and early 00's), entangled in a bittersweet-classy-arrogance. An innocent yet sassy romance. Fruitful winter. Afternoon at an abandonned skatepark.

I found this song last year, after I really started to get back into the Strokes. Despite it not being used, and only really have a single instrument, itās beautiful. Life has been hard, but this song helps me wallow in my own pity, but serves as a reminder that I CAN get back up and see things as beautiful.
And to whom ever is reading this. Try everything once. Live life to the fullest. Know that it can be difficult and wonderful all at the same time. It gets hard and it gets better. Hope you remember to have good one. āļø

That's insane, guys. I'm not sure if there's anyone like me, but I heard this song like 15 years ago while working in a skateshop. After that, I tried to find it for years, but had no success. I was sure that my memory just melded "You Only Live Once" and "Superstar" by Sonic Youth into one song that never existed... And today, YouTube just recommended this. I listened, crying all over. I can't believe this song really exists... Wow, just... Wow.
