Today I'm going to be trying out Nobara Linux on my eBay Gaming PC! A lot of people have told me to try Fedora Linux however I came across this and it looks like an amazing beginner friendly Linux Distro built for gamers!
Nobara is based off of Fedora, It's really good for new users as it has all the apps and drivers you need already installed. It's really easy to use and setup straight out of the box! I think that this is the best option for gaming on linux. Everything is preinstalled for you such as wine dependencies, nvidia drivers and codecs. While distros like this exist already such as Pop OS!, Linux Mint and Manjaro they may not be the best optimised for Gaming straight out of the box
We're going to be installing it and then trying to run Minecraft and I will show you how much FPS it gives me and how it runs using this Operating System. We will also see how good it is for a low end PC! Lots of you guys liked my 'Playing Minecraft on ZorinOS' and 'Playing Minecraft on LINUX.' and 'Playing Minecraft on Windows 8.1' videos so this one's for you guys!

NotroDan The reasn why the windowed mode feels laggier than fullscreen is becuase Linux has this thing called compositing, which makes ur system have animations, prevent screen tearing and stuff. This is autmaticly disbaled in the background when a window goes into fullscreen mode. This is any linux that uses Gnome,Kde or anyother major desktops. U can disable this in settings

We got the video on Nobara!!π So glad to hear you want to change to linux! Its true some popular games dont work with linux, but now with the steamdeck and proton many games will be compatible π just take apex for example :)

Fun tip sorry Iβm late. Been watching a few videos from you about Linux and Iβm happy your covering Linux.
With Linux you could squeeze ever more performance out of changing your cpu governor or your cpu scaling speed. Also you can install alternate kernels. I donβt recommend trying to install a custom kernel if your a newbie to Linux. As they can really give you a headache.
And If your using an AMD gpu you donβt have to install any drivers really as there already in the Linux kernel. Hope this helps for anyone.

When I saw the title I already knew it was gonna be nobara. I am currently using it the only complaint I have that it is not that user friendly as garuda linux did.

Nobara Linux is very good with games, i used it before, i had a nice experience
but rn im using Zorin OS but instead of the main layout it uses the orignal extensions like arc menu, dash to panel, just perfection and etc
