Fun theory: The impostor are actually the good guy in the game!!
This is just a theory, but!! From the explanation the crewmate are the bad guy because they doing research on some alien(?) Witch is the impostor. This explains why there only little impostor in the game. When doing task the crewmate actually learning about the alien and trying to destroy them. And the impostor job is too stop them so the alien can keep living.
This is just a theory I find when research. Idk if this true
