Hey guys so this is an introduction to what’s going on with me right now. i have a rare cancer called a desmoplastic small round cell tumor. google it. i start 9 months of hard chemo this week. it’s kinda funny it’s happening the day after thanksgiving and also how it took cancer to really realize how grateful i am for all the people and love around me. i had been working on a project up til this point and i’m tryin my best to get it out. weirdly the songs really fit what’s going on rn. i’m gonna try throughout chemo to get this project out. any support/motivation y’all got for me rn to get this album out to you will be highly appreciated. ironically it kinda tells the story of what’s going on. love you guys and happy thanksgiving #fuckcancer #cancersucks

I recall a newscaster in Canada being diagnosed with a rare cancer. I will never forget what her response was….”we are all mortal, I just have a bit more information about my mortality”. This was a least 10 year ago and she is living her life with that information still tucked away in her mind. Your unique life will continue on, ignore the stats and live your life every day, you will survive.

Hi gabriel, I was recently diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer as a 27 year old as well. We are both in this journey together and I wish you the best of luck.

I had cancer a few years ago. You wouldn’t be human if you were not scared in this situation. Right now I have so many friends with cancer, all ages, it is driving me crazy. Don’t give up on your dreams, keep doing what you need to do. ❤

I'm a stranger to you, but you're not a stranger to me. I love your music, your vibe, and you! I have faith that you will come through this stronger than before! What I know today to be true is... the human body is an incredible machine, we are capable of miraculous things! Stay strong, stay positive! and just know, there are strangers all around the world cheering for you!!

Do yourself a big favor, and stay away from sugar. Cancer cells thrive on sugar. Just an important piece of information. Many hugs and prayers.

I’m praying for you Gabriel. I went through a scary time with prostate cancer, and it scared me. It will be OK. Just live all you can now. I believe when this life is over, we just transition. It’s inevitable. Some get to have all the answers sooner than others. When I think about it like this, I’m not afraid of death. There are so many people family and friends that were gone before me. I think it’ll be one big party when I get up there.

I firmly believe in diet, my father is stage 4 Pancreatic C and we changed his diet drastically. Everything you mentioned but kiwi's and broccoli are staples in his diet. He is into it one year now and his markers are good. He is able to continue with chemo and I know for him his diet is why he has survived so far. Thank you for sharing, will follow your journey. Blessings to you and your mom.🙏🙏🙏 Happy Thanksgiving!

The thing about diet, cancer cells are animals cells that enjoy the same foods the healthy cells like to eat, that's why the Physician said diet doesn't make any difference. However, there is a least one brain cancer patient I know of who seems to have found success in staying alive by going on a very restrictive diet, one that was intended as a protocol for hard to treat epilepsy patients.

Damn, that shit hit when he said “this is my journey with cancer” a few times to fully grasp it himself.

I'm a little bit further along with you. I too have a very rare cancer, but mine is incurable. However my chance of living 3 to 5 years is higher than yours. So treatments are really just there too suppress the tumor load as long as possible. It's rough. But it sounds like you're doing the right things mentally. I think about my mortality daily. I have to make peace with it so I can release myself, so I can live in the present to the best of my ability. But boy, is it a time and energy suck. Just managing a rare cancer is a part-time job in itself. It chews up so much bandwidth, and it can just leave you tired at the end of the day. Not so much physically but mentally. You can only handle so many consultations, appointments, scans and dealing with insurance before you're just done for the day. Keep on keepin' on. You're doing a really good job of getting a handle on your disease and coping with this news.

I don’t know you Jacob, I’ve never heard your music, I’ve never seen your socials. Somehow you appeared on my feed, and I watched you speak so eloquently, with such a brave demeanour. I can’t begin to imagine how much you must be reeling. How the fear that creeps in, must feel. I am so sorry you have been thrown such a horrible curve ball in your life. I am not a religious person, but honestly, I will pray for your healing. I wish you well on this journey, I hope it is smooth, and you do not suffer too much through this intense treatment you are about to face. You are a warrior, I can see it instantly. Be well Jacob. All my love x

Fuck, man. I hope you beat the odds and fuck this cancer up. Good luck with the chemo. I'd love to hear this project but please don't put yourself through too much in order to release it when things can be hard enough. You're so strong, and being scared doesn't make you any less strong. ❤️ Hope your mum is doing well too.❤️

Praying for you. Have faith you will beat this. My 26 year old son just passed 2 weeks ago. We are hurting and praying for the ones that need. Remember that cancer cannot grow if it does not have sugar. Look into Keto. Stay safe and get better soon.
