This is the first video I've actually disagreed with Troy on. Seeing the album in concert was such a transcendent experience. Like this was a magical experience for me and my dad.

i so appreciate you giving this a shot! They are for sure a very fun band :) i do have to say though- the lyrics are actually an incredibly important part of the full experience. TBAGG is a super conceptual album. and while having to diving into a bunch of lore may not be to everyone’s taste, the lyrics are not to be dismissed.

as a fan of greta van fleet this is such an accurate video lol this album is great for fans but for non fans. i can totally see it. the music producer/maker side of troy really shines and its cool to hear what he thinks of songs i listen to quite a lot. thanks for the honesty troy~

troy i’m so serious right now you’ve gotta see them live. it is one of the coolest experiences ever (ESPECIALLY light my love). also while it’s not the most straightforward album it’s so much fun analyzing the lyrics and breaking them down. they love being cryptic because they want people to form their own meanings for their songs so that they mean something different for everyone. I’m really glad you listened to them though, and i highly recommend watching their red rocks performance from on youtube. also since you liked light my love PLEASE listen to flower power 🙏🏼

I was so excited for this video and I've never been so sad he didn't like it. I LOVE GVF because their lyrics are complicated and deeper than most music nowadays. I've seen them 4 times live and they blow me away every time. I know it's not everyone's thing, but they are so beyond talented and I so badly wanted you to like them.

This album is so magical you can hear the gates open in the first song and can hear them close at the end of the last song

Man, this is just further evidence that I do not need to listen to people talk sh*t about things I love, bc it hurts every time 😭 Anyway, Starcatcher is one of the best albums of 2023 and GvF is easily one of the best live shows I’ve ever seen

I remember when my friend gave me this album and told me it was basically like “a gay concept album by Led Zeppelin” And, I was just blown away by everything. The vocals and the guitar solos especially left me in all.

GVF fan here...I love this reaction! This is 100% my reaction my first listen to this album...it does change drastically the more you listen to it. Then when you see it live...mind blowing.

If you don’t like the battle at gardens gate you’re not gonna like Starcatcher. I recommend listening to their first album “From the Fires” to really see how they relate to Zeppelin

If Greta van fleet has 1 defender it’s me. If Greta van fleet has 10000 defenders I’m one of them. If Greta van fleet has zero defenders I’m in the ground ‼️‼️‼️‼️

I LOVE GVF! Josh is an amazing singer and you can definitely tell the growth of his vocals on Starcatcher.

I honestly like listening to Troy review an album he doesn’t completely love. He can be such a savage sometimes it’s hilarious 🤣

I love GVF, but I understand the honesty in this review. I've listened to all of their music and I think its gotten better over time, but even then I only really like a few songs on each of their albums. I saw them on tour for their starcatcher album though and it was probably one of my fav concerts. (do wish there was more enunciation overall too haha)

From the Fires probably would've been a better place to start imo, I fell in love with that one right away whereas TBAGG took me longer to get into. I haven't listened to their other two albums yet because I'm still trying to remember what each song on TBAGG sounds like lmfao. I like the album but it really does blend together outside of a few songs. I appreciate you giving this album a chance and being honest though! This reaction was genuinely hysterical even if you didn't end up enjoying it as much as I did.
