Just over two weeks and 2nd v-pier span completed across final lake.
3 v-piers to go before Dominique launching girder hits dry land. 12 piers on land.

Quite a queue of large segments carefully placed and lined up ready as v-pier no 3 beckons..

HS2 is the UK’s new high speed line between London and Birmingham due to open 2029/2033.

Looks like Dominique is about to make the β€œleap” across to the next pier. That would be great to see as a time lapse!

Perfect day for flying. Excellent footage. Dominique is well and truly on the, slightly curved, finishing straight.

Love the design. Both form and function (instead of pillars).. Maybe cost twice as much and probably 99.999% of travellers (24 seconds) are ever gonna see it from the side or underneath !! ;-)))

Compare the speed of installation shown here to the speed of the Chinese railway viaduct manufacture and installation. This method is grass-growing slow.
