Either this song is extremely personal for you or you're just an outstanding actor. The way you go from soft-spoken and forlorn in the verses to more powerful and hurt in the refrain is so effective.
To me, the "Why must she be beautiful" line means that although the "I" in the song is hurt, but ultimately fine with her ex moving on and happy that they've met someone that they're more compatible with, the fact that the new girlfriend is beautiful as well makes the "I" feel like she's just an objectively better version of her, destroying her self-confidence and making her feel frustrated and despondent, which you can hear throughout the entire song. Also, the "but" at the start of the last refrain, where your voice breaks just a tiny little bit is such a great touch.

This song featuring Voila came up on my "Discover Weekly" playlist last week, and I can't stop listening. Your voice is absolutely beautiful and emotive. You do such a great job of really delivering that torn feeling. Thank you for this, Emilia! I would love a music video for this if it's possible someday.
