Identifying 80 Backyard Birds! Real video examples of 80 common Backyard Birds Identified by a combination of sights and sounds. All video and sound recordings were made by me - there is no stock footage or sounds these are real backyard birds - mostly eastern half of the US and many migratory. It is not all inclusive or perfect, but you should find plenty of useful information, ideas and examples to pique your bird watching curiosity and other than food, feeders and water - a good bird ID book would be a great initial investment.

Filmed mostly with Canon SX60 and SX70HS cameras available on Amazon at: amzn.to/2QftDPd

I live in Europe, and most of these species look so exotic for me. Amazing to think that these appear near everyone's houses every day

My cat loved your videos. He got really sick and could no longer sit in the window to watch real birds. We watched a whole bunch of your videos together the night before he died, and I could tell how engaged he was, even though he didn't have much strength. Thanks for helping me create some last little pleasures for him.

The black capped chikadee is a very friendly bird. If you talk to them often when fillingthe feeders, they will come nearby and chatter at you like a conversation.

Collecting all this "footage" must have been a labor of love. Well done!

The best bird video ever! When I was younger I didn't care. Now that I'm older I've realized how we take birds totally for granted; we shouldn't. Thank you for this excellent work.

Thanks 🌴 I was able to identify a new bird, new to me, the Eastern Towee πŸ˜€. Idenfied by song, but not by sight. I'll keep a lookout. It's a real joy to connect the song with the visual description.

Playing this through the window to the local birds...thanks from Canberra Australia. I miss camping in America and remember seeing so many of these birds. My cat and the local birds here are so confused 🀣 It is dawn here in Spring and watching them come over to the window to check out competition that they have never heard is pure GOLD!

Thank you so much for this video! Over the past several years, I've become legally blind and can no longer see birds at almost any distance past a few feet. As a result, I've been striving to learn their calls so I will know which birds are around my area. This video greatly helped me see, up close, what they look and sound like. Very helpful!

I feed all of my birds in my back yard, mostly inn the winter months,EVERY single morning I go out around 7am , they are all waiting for me,n even tweet my whistleπŸ˜ƒ so sweet... I love my backyard , it's full of Carolinas best species. I give nuts to the squirrels,so the littlest birds can eat without those big squirrels being pigs. All sorts of beautiful birds, redheaded wood peckers, robins, cardinals, wrens, blue jays, pine sisken, nuthatches, chicadees, so many varieties!! Fun to watch. I also have a fox, deer n a ground hog...love nature! πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’—

Thank you for the enormous amount of work that went into this video. I can only imagine the amount of time, patience, and devotion it took to find each of these birds for us. I live in southern Arizona, and although we have our share of interesting birds, I find I have missed the Robins the most. Thanks again. This was an enormous undertaking. It is much appreciated.

So far best video . Finally a video that not only shows each species, what they look like and distinction but tells you which species it is . Many videos only show you the birds but do not inform you which bird it is, which helps people like me new to birding and learning how to tell them apart. THANK YOU
