For me TV Series have been higher quality, better produced and just more interesting than any movie Hollywood has put out in decades. So with Captain Carter's British animation and Peacemaker, one of the worst characters from The Suicide Squad 2021's movie flop. They're doubling down on poor ideas with poor execution in a medium that requires MORE talent and intellectual investment than movies. I do not have faith in these projects at all.

Iām not sure if you watched any of the āWhat Ifā series before commenting, but Captain Carter isnāt some rebooted series Hollywood is replacing male characters with females. Yes, they do that a lot. They make white characters black all the time (and we wonāt go into the backlash someone would get if they changed a black character white).
But the series shows what would happen if Steve Rogers didnāt undergo the super serum procedure because it got interrupted. While the series is already based on the comics, itās still an original idea and character.
But, thereās so many movies that became tv shows and vice versa, itās hard not to find one. Maybe itās different for British shows that seem to end abruptly, even when popular. Like The Office, The IT Crowd, Broadchurch, Fawlty Towers, The Borrowers, etc.

To be honest, I've never been a big fan of "Agent Carter", and the more historical research I've done, the worse this MCU character looks. She was NEVER a British agent in the comics, she was a blonde French Resistance agent. Furthermore, her behavior in The First Avenger and other stuff would NOT be tolerated in a 1940s-50s setting, shooting at Cap in jealousy and striking soldiers in anger would have gotten her butt dragged off by WAC (US Army female unit) MPs to face discharge or even court martial. Historical revisionism at its worst. What an insult to the World War II generation, and especially the heroines of it. This gender swapping cartoon is just pouring sewage on top.
