Peach Pit
Oh peach pit where'd the hours go
when your orange skin began to glow
from a hanging branch in gardens home
not much is hidden underneath
a rock heart for breaking teeth
and apple cores cyanide seed
it's been along season through
this rotting fruit with you x2
lift back and see the darkness hid
swallowed up and angled in
looking back at sweetness dim
ripe june had leaf and shady friend
the cool air is gone again
It's been a long season through this rotting fruit with you x2

This song will always be nostalgic for me. Reminds me of the early 2000s, and my brothers. A summer breeze, sipping on Arizona's and coasting down hills on long boards. Night time trips to the woods, and day time rides to the comic shop. A time I never got to experience, remembered so vividly through a nostalgic haze. Wish I'd been there to see it. Wish it actually happened like they said it did, without the pain.

[Verse 1]Oh peach pit where'd the hours go
When your orange skin began to glow
From a hanging branch in gardens home
Not much is hidden underneath
A rocky heart for breaking teeth
And apple cores cyanide seed
[Chorus]It's been a long season through
All this rotting fruit with you
[Verse 2]Lift back and see the darkness hid
Swallowed up an angled in
Looking back at sweetness dim
Ripe June had leaf and shady friend
The cool air is gone again
[Verse 3]Oh peach pit where'd the hours go
When your orange skin began to glow
From a hanging branch in gardens home

I listened to this the first time I started driving, I would have to travel 45 minutes to work after just getting out of school. Listening to this song calmed my nerves every mile I took to work. I would sing and just listen intently to the music. It was so relaxing finally fight my nerves and anxiety.. I was so scared to drive and I still am.. I just fight it with indie and acoustic music. Peach pit will always be one of my favorite artist. They just have a different sound.

This song is about his grandma who passed away and the lyrics make so much sense now
