Imagine getting a gig with Priest, then debuting with the Painkiller album. He became a legend on his first recording. 30 years later, he's popping out Firepower and has cemented himself as one of the best to ever do it.
Notice how much he gets it from a fans point of view? We don't come to concerts to hear an improv. We come to hear what we love. He, as a fan first, gets it.
Speaking of Metal Meltdown. Bring it and Nostradamus back! Need that Scott double bass.

I am 46 years old, I remember when I heard "painkiller" for the first time, although the double bass (or kick) drum was already heard, this was devastating, it was like a lesson, Scott saying, hey guys, that's how you do this, and Scott makes it look so easy.
To this day, I still say that the album "painkiller" was and is a masterpiece.

I met Scott about thirty years ago. Really a nice guy. He and I have a lot of common friends in the Virginia area. I met him through a common friend between us. Back then my kids had a rock band, really garage band. My son was the drummer and I got him one of Scott's VHS tapes on drumming. I think I paid a couple bucks for it, but now, if you can find one, they sell for over $500. He came over a couple times and helped him clean up his drumming.
Anyway, he is really a nice guy. I am glad that the managerial problems of Judas priest were resolved, but once they were, Judas Priest really took off and Scott has been busy ever since.
Drummer World once said that Scott Travis is the Drummer's Drummer.
Great, great talent.

This guy single handedly put Judas Priest back on the map. Totally overlooked drummer.
