It’s cross addiction and surviving relapse (winter) and hope you make it out alive. Addicts have triggers and know when winter is coming. I cried in my car when I heard it today for the first time. If I don’t make it out alive I’d want my loved ones to know I tried.

Just watched an interview about this - it's about her being drugged and going missing for 7 hours and waking up with blood on her pants and no clue what happened. She wasn't hanging with a very safe crowd and was partying a ton with people who didn't care enough to look after her, so after that trauma happened, she dumped that friend group and got more control over her drug and alcohol consumption. Apparently she felt totally numb writing it and it wasn't until she showed it to loved ones and trusted people in the industry that she started really feeling it all.
