I like the exterior, I love how wide the stairs are, the bedroom sizes are great and I really like the upstairs balcony. I say all this because my grandmother raised me to have manors and I feel I should say something nice before I bring the hammer down. The front half of the ground floor has a graciousness about it that falls apart once your past the stairs. The architect totally dropped the ball with the island/wasted space in the kitchen. It feels like a lazy way to solve the problem of the floor to ceiling support beam that the island is a part of. Makes me wonder if not using a glue-lam beam across the expanse of the great room was really that big of a savings? Because using one instead of that pole would have opened up that space so much and they could have done such a better job with the kitchen. Also, I wouldn't want my laundry room right off the formal diningroom and front door but I also wouldn't want to walk my laundry upstairs. It was just ok.

I liked the exterior, the balcony, the possibility of having a laundry chute or both an upstairs and downstairs laundry. I have to agree with other comments that the kitchen layout was strange. The window benches are really nice. I loved the primary bedroom and bathroom. I think I would make the pantry into a butler style pantry and have it go through to the formal dining area or I would make that area a formal sitting area and just have dining in the kitchen/dining area it's certainly big enough!

I liked the upstairs but I didn't like the kitchen layout or living room layout. It looked like it was squished in. I don't like how they situated the Island. I am supposing that they had to incorporate the "support beam" for the kitchen ceiling to make it look like it was designed that way on purpose. I don't like the fire place either. I liked the MB.
