The storyline isnāt fully done, but I highly doubt itās gonna continue at least as we knew it. The I.O. vs Seven saga is done, and weāre moving into the Multiversal Saga.

The original Fortnite storyline (specifically Donaldās storyline) IS dead and I wish there was more to it than we got.
That being said, Charlie Wen is now taking over. He worked on the old Marvel movies, as well as God of War and League of Legends. I think the story is in good hands in the future, but Donaldās story deserved a better sendoff.

I donāt think the story is over, I think they probably will continue it but in a different direction. Imo, this chapter could mark the beginning of the end for the story entirely, but take that with a grain of salt. Since Donald mustard said weāre going back to the chapter 2 island it makes sense that I think we would essentially be right back to square one but itās different. Otherwise this game will just be for collabs and promotion purposes really. Srry for the long comment btw

Okay, here is what I want for the story next season
Agt. Jones has been the only person who remembers what happened throughout Chapters 1-OG. Whoever kidnaps Peely wants to drag Jones out for information. Either it's for malevolent reasons, or reasons unknown. Anyway, Peely being kidnapped is a trap for Jones as Peely is at this point Jones' only friend left after he lost his family, The Seven and Slone so obviously Jones wants to get him back because he doesn't want to lose anymore friends.
That's how I would do next season personally

The original story is still cannon but it is stuck in a loop and when we used the Time Machine to go back to where it all started it played out differently this time. All of the galaxies are connected at the end. It just means that all the characters are cannon in the Fortnite universe. The story isnāt over.

There was in fact lore there, and was very easy to understand. Slone sent Jones back in time to collect something and bring it back to the present. We learned the something was the Visitor.

unlike most other commenters i feel like this was the perfect send off for donaldās story
ending things where they began
the event itself did feel kinda lost lore-wise but itās still nice epic decided to end this era of fortnite where it all began
just remember
not everyone from donaldās story is gone for good
the last reality could still be kicking so we should still keep an eye out for them

I wish the zero point was able to fend off the meteor and the meteor bounced off giving us a very different event instead of the event just being copy and pasted.

if fortnite truly had no care for the story going forward with this game, they would not have made the audio logs this season. with jones returning in chapter 5, i think we could be seeing some interesting stuff in the future.

I agree with you on this. It took me a few hours until I found out that after the "meteor" collided with the zero point, it ended everything in the storyline. Heck, I still don't know if this is what fortnite intended like they were NOT clear with it. However, the new chapter does look promising and I've been BEGGING for a train and we finally have one! Also, I really hope we have a opening cutscene like chapter 2 and 3 for chapter 5 because we really need to know how we got on the new island. In my opinion, I think this cutscene will answer all of our questions or at least most. Anyways stay awesome and I'll be sure to use your code when buying the battlepass!

Man itās kinda disappointing that Donaldās story is done it was fun to follow with people like Midas geno slone the seven jonsey. Also the new guy supposedly worked at marvel and I donāt want the game to be like marvel with multiverses and all that

Honestly I'm really disappointed with Fortnite on this one. The event was amazing. I'm just really upset about the lore ending. I think they wrapped it up all of a sudden and it doesn't feel like a conclusion. There are so many unanswered questions. I think the reason they stopped doing the lore is because of how much it changed the game (or maybe because some players didn't like it shoved in their faces). I'm just really sad to see it go and I hope they may change their minds one day.
Edit: I forgot that Fortnite got a new creative director so that is probably why they stopped doing the lore.

My best guess for Peelyās kidnapping is that this group wants something from Jones. After losing his family, place in the IO and The Seven he didnāt really have anything left to lose other than Peely so this could be their way of getting something from Jones.

I wish they would supplement the lore aspect into a tv show. Similar to arcane on Netflix.

A really cool twist of the new story would be revealing this new worldās version of Midas as the leader of the new enemy faction. I only think this because their logo kind of looks like two golden hands and they have the whole rich people theme to em.
