I love the Grandma and Thanksgiving story! Wanda Dench and Jamal Hinton! This happened in 2016! Every year after that, even through the pandemic, they celebrate Thanksgiving together. In 2021, I believe, Wanda’s husband passed away from Covid (if I remember correctly). Jamal was still at Thanksgiving that year. They’ve become family!

Side note so the Thanksgiving text what ended up happening after that is he ended up going to the grandma's house every year after that to have Thanksgiving dinner with her family.
