There is nothing quite east asian about Nepali architecture, this architecture is found all throughout the pahar region of the central and western Himalayas, this includes Jammu&Kashmir, Himachal Pardesh, and Uttarakhand regions of India. Tibetan architecture also is quite distinct from Nepalese architecture and Chinese architecture. There is no Chinese influence in Nepal, if anything Nepal influenced China. This pagoda style architecture is actually native to Nepal, a famous Nepalese architect by the name of Araniko was commissioned under the Yuan Dynasty to build temples and shrines in Mongol China as a way to promote Buddhist culture and architecture, and as you know Nepal is the birthplace of Lord Buddha Siddartha Gautama. This kind of architecture has existed in the Himalayas far before it did in any East Asian country. As a person living in Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh, I can attest to this, this type of architecture can be found all over my state. Anyway, I've been thoroughly enjoying your videos. Love from India🇮🇳

Pagoda style is the most typical Nepali architecture. There was a very skilled Nepali architect “Arniko” who went to China on the request of the Chinese emperor and built pagoda’s - Nepali style. Which then became popular in the rest of the Asia. Hence, what you see is not an influence from other parts of Asia. It’s typical Nepali architecture.

Nice walk down memory lane fr me bro'! Khub bhalo episode hoyechhe! The Nepali architects are famous since the medieval times...Btw, the famous architect Arniko from Nepal ( he was of Newar stock) became one of the most celebrated architects in China and Tibet.. A highway in Nepal is named after him.."Aniko, Anige or Araniko (Nepali: अरनिको, Chinese: 阿尼哥; 1245–1306) was one of the key figures in the arts of Nepal and Yuan dynasty of China, and the artistic exchanges in these areas. He was born in Kathmandu Valley, Nepal, during the reign of Abhaya Malla. He is known for building the White Stupa at the Miaoying Temple in Beijing. During the reign of Jaya Bhim Dev Malla, he was sent on a project to build a golden stupa in Tibet, where he also initiated into monkhood. From Tibet he was sent further to North China to work in the court of the emperor Kublai Khan, the founder of Yuan dynasty (1279–1368), where he brought the trans-Himalayan artistic tradition to China. Araniko led a team of 80 artists to China and Tibet to make a number of pagoda style buildings. In his later life, he renounced monkhood and started a family." ✌
