I was just listening to your duets for Phantom of the Opera yesterday <3!!! Your range is so amazing and you compliment your vocal partner so incredibly well :D Even in this song, there's that light "fairy" sound (like you can NAIL those whistle notes like wow queen slay!!!) and then you have this "mommy sorry mommy" voice come out to play with just such a seamless transition! Serisouly, your diaphragm must have some incredible strength there, Lacey :O Absolutely phenomenal vocal work there! Mixing and working with sound is so hard haha if you haven't already Mike Russell has some videos that helped me a ton when I did my sound design course last spring. What it sounds like to me is you've got some background noise going on. Putting sound from two different sources into picture is a common struggle, so there's lots of tutorials out there to help with that! If you've heard of white balance in photography there should be a similar way to do that in audition or any program you use. Basically the room Raf recorded in was just different than yours so that sound is also gonna be different but you can match it in a sense in post recording with some tricks. While it wont be perfect, it'll probably make the difference in ambient sound more minute! I forgot which video of Mike's I used for that in one of my projects where I recorded sounds in different spaces and was trying to eliminate some background noise (I used a peer recording a speech he did and added sounds I gathered as well as used freesound so a lot of different spaces haha) but he's got some helpful stuff for that! You've set yourself up for some amazing strengths here too bc your voice is so clear and crisp! Getting the audio down will make you 10/10 GOLDEN!!! I can't wait to watch what you do next <3 got totally got a new sub :DDD

Interesting take on the cover. Definitely expected of a talented vocalist who nailed it home with the Once Upon a December cover.
What would I change? A bit longer sustain at the end of the second chorus would've made it a perfect cover for me, but then again, I'm nitpicking.
9.5/10 for me. Congratulations on a near-perfect cover.
