I like Rick Astley even more knowing this than when I was a big fan of his back in the 80s and 90s. He was part of my youth and his voice and his songs were household names. Love them still.

We loved this song when it first came out because of his look, his voice and that he sang the words every girl wanted to hear. Even his attempt at dancing was adorable! I canāt believe how casually it all came together. It looked like every element had been choreographed within an inch of its life for a hit music video. And they originally shelved the song?? Wow!

Dude made a song, was literally perfect with it, got his dream career, went "Yeah this is pretty cool, that's enough now" and stopped and just does what he wants now, he's won. It's nice that this song is so timeless, so enduring that even decades later most people still know the words even if they were not even born when it came out. And this video tells the story so well
