General Savage from 12 o’clock high! In my opinion Lansing’s best role

Ed McBain's (Evan Hunter) 87th Precinct novels were meat and drink to me as a teenager, and The Pusher is an excellent dramatisation of the novel of the same name. Thank you very much for uploading this treasure trove of memories.

Thanks Rob W for posting this rare film. Each generation when young think they invented it. Very good storyline. I'm looking forward to more ... B movies that is. I'm hooked.

Great copy of this old movie. The sound is amazingly preserved and the picture too. That's rare.

Yay! Been waiting for this to surface again. BTW, I liked how NYC cops used to bang their sticks on the sidewalk as a reverberating message to other cops to show up.

People were dressed so sharp in the jazz or Hispano Jazz Subculture. Love those three button Brooks Brothers suits and thin ties. The music scores were very good.

I really love these forgotten flicks YouTube is uploading for us. They aren't spectacular but they aren't boring either. This was the earliest movie I've seen with Robert Lansing in the cast. You may remember him as The 4D Man and he was also in an original Star Trek episode. Did you catch John Astin in the apartment where they found the dead P.R. kid? For all you boys and girls who were born after the turn of the century Astin was Gomez Addams in the Addams Family. He was also the guy at the gym dance in West Side Story not to mention the sitcom he was in (I'm Dickens, He's Fenster). Old enough to be Patty Duke's father but he was her husband. Now, remember what Tommy Holland said (sang) about the pusher. "G.D.!!!!!!!........the Pusher."

Thank you Rob. I really needed something to unwind with after the Christmas rush. This was perfect! Dramatic, with a couple of chuckles along the way (The dancer's dance movements, a fight with a sound without a connection....the gang member's jackets) Happy New Year everyone! 🥳 May 2024 be a LOT better than 2023...ugh! 🥺

Great little film with a fantastic soundtrack. The New York locations on their own would justify a viewing.

This is a brilliant movie with superb acting and very timely. Very realistic. Every parent needs to see this story about the horrors of heroin addiction. Especially the mother's line how one never stops being a parent and involved in their child's wellbeing. Gene Milford directed.
