Louis La More wrote some good swashbucklers too. One is called "Walking Drum". About the commercial caravans, that set up outdoor markets in Europe in medieval times. They were the super mats in those days. They were like traveling villages. Had camels wives and their kids. Soldiers with a walking drum to keep it all together, so they wouldn't be strangling out for a mile or so.
