4:55 Thanks so much for visiting our booth! We’re trying really hard to save our show, Lockwood and Co, so any exposure we can get from you is greatly appreciated!

i'm gonna be honest, i never buy mystery bags because i feel like they're never worth it. i always felt like it was a way for shops to sell items no one wanted to buy for a higher price. i'm sorry you didn't get a waifu figurine though, but i assure you, when you go to japan, you will be able to get TWO waifu figurines for 20 USD. i got a really cute miku figurine when i was there for like 1400 yen from a second hand shop and its a really pretty one.

I was an exhibitor at LACC (small business owner so I got to a lot of events and am friends with a good chunk of other exhibitors who had the same/worse experience) and to tell you the straight radio silence all parties got from the organizers is insane. Security heard nothing, the convention (building staff) were told nothing, the exhibitors didn't have even basic information that is required for cons, they never answered emails (except to ask for money), and then they got rid of a whole day and still said nothing. It sounds like you talked to mostly artists- which was the 45 minutes. Main exhibitors were supposed to start at 8 am, which got moved to 6 pm then 2 pm (which actually meant that we weren't allowed in until 3 pm because they didn't talk to the convention center staff).
Let alone the giant mess of the event itself and south hall was an even bigger nightmare. For attendees, I mainly heard the normal complaints but that it was generally okay so that's good at least

As some who has been going to NYCC since 2015, Its gotten dangerously over crowded. I expect and am use to the typical crowds and the sheer amount of people that are usually there, but something about this past one was just really bad. There was very little room to properly visit AA tables or even stop at booths. I really hope they chill just a bit on ticket sales (lets be honest they wont but i can dream) for next year because it didn't feel safe with the crowding they had this year.

I was an exhibitor there (and you even met us!) for The Sojourn Audiodrama, and frankly, the whole experience was just soul-sucking. Standing up for hours in front of the booth, and not a single soul comes along.
Boston FanExpo, which has like half the attendance, was much more exciting for us, believe it or not.
Never going to LA again lol

As someone who’s grown up in San Diego and gone to SDCC every year, it’s always baffled me that our Comic Con is the big one. I went to LACC last year and was shocked by how much it’s lacking considering LA’s the big hub for most of that stuff. Production studios have easy access to that con so it’s weird that there’s not more big industry stuff at LACC

Dear Amanda, As someone who lives in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the US, thank you for reviewing and going to events so I can live vicariously through you!
