Half a millennium ago, Europe was deep in the Dark Ages and in a state of stagnancy for centuries compared to the glory of the Roman and Greek empires of the past. Then the city of Florence, uniquely run by it's rich families like the Medici family, changed all of that by investing in science, economic policies and architecture in far corners of Europe, effectively starting the renaissance, dragging Europe out of the dark ages and bringing it to modernity. On this day-vlog to Florence, I explore this famous city and it's renaissance art (particularly one very impressive David statue from Michelangelo), experience the pizza and the views and discuss the city's fascinating story.
