How about that! Another brand new tune, so soon! This one was inspired by the words from a story my Wife made up spontaneously one night trying to juggle the kids to bed after a long week, a busy weekend and a day at the beach, many moons ago. Luckily while still fresh in her memory Shelley had had the prescience of mind to write the story up on the computer. It re-surfaced the other day and the tune for this song fell out of the piano under my fingers! The story in this incarnation goes as follows....


Once there was a Sea Goddess. Deep within the oceans she lived. She felt warm seas and cold seas. She felt the sea spray and the rolling depths of the waves.
Sometimes the sea was calm and sometimes it raged.


But she remained, and she remained, and she remained.


She saw huge whales and bright shoals of tiny fishes. She heard gulls crying and dolphins leaping. She saw the rain and the wind and children playing in the breaking waves.


And she remained, and she remained, and she remained.


She saw rubbish floating and jelly-fish dancing. She saw boats trawling and scientists protecting. She heard children laughing and children shouting.


And she remained, and she remained, and she remained.


She saw vast dinosaurs lumbering through the waves and she saw them go.
She saw small fishes flapping out of the mud and she saw them go.
She saw boats come to fish and she saw them go.
She saw the children come to play and she saw them go.


She saw the clouds shift their patterns over the sky. She saw the full moon and the dark nights.She watched the tide rise and the tide fall.


And she remained, and she remained, and she remained.
