When you watch a sketch about a fake band that’s meant to be funny but you want to see them live

The moment with Dave Grohl and the microphone was unintentionally one of the most accurate depictions of punk shows on national television.

This is not a parody. This is an homage. Brilliant.

The cutaway to Sudekis smiling and bopping his head slays me every time.

When Dave Grohl's mic stops working, that was so authentically punk lol. Gave me flash backs lol

An unironically good punk song, from the lyrics to the Suicidal Tendencies reference to Dave's mic cutting out.

“You hear that, Alexander Haig?” - a great line in a sketch with so many perfect moments

this skit proves that a good drummer can basically make any band good

The husband's dad being the only one actually enjoying the whole thing and is happily dancing along makes me really happy for some reason.

Hader throwing Sudeikis his guitar pick at the end. Excellent touch.

Went very West Coast with this. Armisen is channeling Jello Biafra's physicality while the early verses were very Dead Kennedys. Then a great Suicidal Tendencies breakdown, and into the chant. Fantastic.

The fact that Dave Grohl can keep up with the beat on drums while yelling the lyrics . True artist

Clearly Fred Armisen has a deep appreciation and understanding of the 80's punk scene.

Bill Hader about this sketch: “We did this sketch where we were a punk wedding band. I was playing bass, and Dave Grohl was on drums—that was one of the biggest moments of “SNL” for me. If you had told me at 15, “You’ll play with Dave Grohl on ‘SNL,’” I’d be like, “You’re out of your mind.” At one point, Dave was like, “Hey, Bill, you sound good.” I almost threw up, I was so terrified. But I was excited. That was a life dream, that moment.”

Just noticed Hader tossing his pick to Sudekis at the end of the skit. So good.
