I saw her say in an interview that her grandmother told her love is a losing game for women in their family. And unfortunately that struck true, she was surrounded by men (father and boyfriend) that used her amazing talent and took advantage when they knew she needed help. This song always brings me to tears. I hope she realized how loved she truly was before she left us. RIP to the most soulful and beautiful artist of my generation.

Today it would've been Amy's 39th birthday. It's such a shame she died so young, I wish she was still alive. She truly was one of a kind, an incredibly talented singer and songwriter. "Love Is A Losing Game" has always been one of my favourite songs of Amy. I still don't understand why it doesn't have so many views compared to "Rehab", "Back To Black" or "You Know I'm No Good".
