On a sunny Saturday, April 20, 2024, international songwriter, guitarist, and vocalist Louis Thomass delivered a captivating live performance at Perry's Beach Cafe on Santa Monica Beach. Thomass, who has spent his adult life pursuing a professional music career, showcased a dynamic set of original songs and covers, performing with his feet in the sand as beachgoers relaxed nearby.
Thomass, known for his extensive touring with approximately 100 concerts around Europe each year, is currently focused on establishing his musical presence in Los Angeles. His repertoire at Perry’s Beach Cafe included a rich blend of influences from 1950s rock & roll and rockabilly to 1990s country music, reflecting his admiration for artists like The Eagles, James Taylor, Tom Petty, and The Beatles.
In addition to his passion for classic and modern music, Thomass has a keen interest in bluegrass, drawing inspiration from legends such as Tony Rice and Brian Sutton. His ability to merge historical music styles with contemporary trends was evident, as he also paid homage to modern icons like John Mayer and Harry Styles during his performance.
As a studio musician and a bachelor in musicology, Thomass has collaborated with various renowned musicians, including Helene Fischer, Claudia Koreck, and Barny Murphy of Spider Murphy Gang. His performance at Perry’s Beach Cafe not only highlighted his musical versatility but also his commitment to enriching the local music scene in Los Angeles.
