rewatching this video in 2023, and dude. this is genuinely a master piece. the section where D'Angelo puts the videos of covid-19 affected people next to influencers/celebrities having parties is genuinely CHILLING. 10/10 D'Angelo. This is a fucking masterpiece.

Its so gross to hear these tik tok idiots say ā€œin this business we need time off and vacationsā€ while us healthcare workers have been working day in and out short staffed to try and save peopleā€™s lives. Itā€™s disgusting

My husband is dead from Covid-19. He died on Christmas. My children no longer have a father. My mother in law lost her only son. We were extremely careful and I am still careful, keeping my kids at home and only going out for necessities. I HATE every person who flouts the guidelines or refuses to wear a mask. I want them to feel the grief and rage and helplessness that I do. I want them to be afraid of losing their home and worry about how the bills are going to get paid. I don't know how we can make them stop unless they are heavily fined or criminally prosecuted.

my grandma died of covid last year, she was also my piano teacher, she died a month before my exam. She practically raised me and gave me my entire musical education. The worst part is i always fought w her because i didn't want to learn piano. Her death hit me hard and i now practice piano every day for her. She was a big [art of my life and hopefully ill make her proud one day. stay safe everyone

I love watching rich people go and party while having watched my grandma almost die of covid she caught from working at the hospitals. I love seeing it after Iā€™ve watched the nurses in my family come home crying because they held a patients hand as they took their last breathe because of covid. Itā€™s so sexy of them

And here we are 3 years later and over a million people died from COVID in the US alone. I hope these influencers so very proud of themselves and how they contributed to those deaths. I had COVID pneumonia a year ago and it was the worst thing Iā€™ve ever been through. I barely made it was in the ICU for a week and wouldnā€™t wish that on anyone. Iā€™ll never pay off that hospital bill. I hope theyā€™re so happy with themselves.

Watching this 9 months later. Things are much different now and it just goes to show how shortterm the memory of the collective is. Everyone is acting like everything is back to normal and we'll complete forget that millions of people died in 2 yrs from a virus that was initially preventable.

I feel like people don't understand: we're not mad at them because they're rich. We're mad because they have the funds and resources to stay safe and they choose not to. Meanwhile, people who don't have jobs and can't have funerals are putting in all possible effort to keep others safe. It's pretty basic capitalism at its finest.

My aunt had lung cancer, but it was atill in the treatable phase. The chemo was strarting to work. And then covid-19 killed her, because some of the people around her weren't taking covid-19 seriously.... And now I can never talk to her again, or see her again

my grandfather died from covid. i wasn't even able to attend his FUNERAL because we lived in different countries. seeing these people party, go out without masks, while i can't even attend a loved ones funeral, is a huge fuck you right in my face.

Watching this nearly three years later is surreal. In the past few years, I lost an aunt and two cousins to Covid-19, and I couldn't attend funerals because of safety protocols. Everything is basically back to ā€œnormalā€ now, but just two weeks ago, AP reported that even mild Covid 19 infections are causing irreparable damage to the cardiovascular and respiratory systems that can go undetected until itā€™s too late. That makes what these influencers did during a time when there was little information about the disease, no vaccine, and no other form of treatment for symptoms even more egregious. Their careless disregard for the people around them is going to have a lasting impact that they don't realize. I hope the parties were worth it.
