This song gave me my 15 minutes of fame (and more)...in 1985 I attended a week long residential event set up by the Prince's Trust, geared towards helping young people choose their career path ...Prince Charles attended on the last day and a disco was set up in his honour....I asked the TV camera men how I get myself on the television ( I wanted to give my mum a suprise), they said ask him to dance....This song was my favourite at the time, the dj put it on and I thought to myself "it's now or never " so I did ask him and he did dance with me to "dancing in the dark"...my mum certainly got a surprise when she saw me on the national news and my photo on the front page of The Times...so there you have it, my very unique claim to fame...Thank you Bruce Springsteen..🙂

I met Bruce after this CD was released. I met him after an Elvis Costello accoustic set at the Warfield in SF. There he was, sporting a brown leather bomber jacket with a red bandanna. We spoke for about 20 minutes on Market St. He was a great all around guy!
