Thank you for addressing this topic publicly. I agree completely with Mr. Rogers explanation of the sequence of events as Jesus explained them to the disciples. And, I would like to state that God is not sitting back waiting for the doomsday clock to strike midnight so He can send judgment on the earth, rather, He is continually at work in the earth, in our lives, in His creation. Life is 1000 times easier for mankind today than it has been at any time in the past history of the world. Let us rejoice and give thanks for the goodness of God. Yes, there is still evil in the world, but it is losing ground every day as "Our God is Marching On!" Let us learn to keep our eyes and our hearts on Jesus, our victorious King!!!

Thank you for providing the space for this humble servant. Praise God the Holy Spirit moved the writer to seek to be a person of understanding and he was faithful to the calling. I certainly can relate to some of the observations that were provided. Eschatology matters, but the Kingdom advances more on the giving of a good story (witness and testimony) than the providing of a good argument (biblical scholarship). I was mercifully redeemed from great tribulation and given to see the “new” things. Now, I can enjoy my glass of wine with the Lord in His Kingdom as those “new” things are being joined together.

I'm not a historrical or theological expert - just a lay person. However, the more I consider and learn about eschatology, the less I'm convinced about a true historical distinction between at least amill and postmill. Sure, they stand distinct against dispy premil/historical premil, but it seems like the amil/postmil distinction is more of a spectrum that swings on one's view of the impact of Christ's reign now on earth and the forcasted success of the Gospel until Christ's final consummation of His return. All that to say, I'm not sure creating more labels is necessarily helpful, but there is a path forward to focus on our unity in doctrine and hash out the practical implications from there.

Great conversation, but could use some basic plain-English elements and visuals much earlier in the video to describe the exact differences between Josh versus Michael's last-things doctrine. It finally arises around the minute-35 mark, but takes a while. Thank you. Love the discussion and will check out Michael's book.

Good point around 12:50 that the various (prefix)millennial systems are not hermeneutical. Ultimate Reconciliation is a hermeneutical system. The kingdom is simply “now and not yet.” Read NT Wright to get on the correct path.

In light of how we know future prophetic writing is styled throughout much of the Bible, how judgment and blessing are styled, and what we know from history found outside the Bible- I’m just not that intimidated by Bertrand Russell or any critic about the Olivet Discourse. In fact any doubts for me come from brothers who are very disturbed by them, implying I don’t understand the difficulties. When I read the Bible as an older boy, before knowing anything at all of these debates, I took the gospel writers to be summarizing a topic that the disciples asked about multiple times and in different ways. In the accounts we have, to me it seems pretty clear Jesus is knocking 2-3 birds out with 1 stone until verse 29 when he begins to transition to the final judgement (still includes both temple and final judgement though if Josephus’ account of AD 70 is accurate, which everyone did until the 19th century). And then the transition to the final judgement is mostly in view at verse 36. Jesus is talking about the destruction of Jerusalem, the current age we are in now, and the final judgment and we are not privy to how it is exactly interwoven. Indeed, when Jesus spoke these words even he didn’t know everything.

Good grief....... and, but, whatever, when, how what did he say?..Huh, really........ .Took me a while to get tied up in knots then some more time to get untied. I guess we - full preterists - shall have to continue waiting and endure the moniker of heretic and hyper preterist and be treated like we have the plague. More work to do yet. Michael -- Strongly Preteristic post-Millenial view ????? Love you my brothers but this is only another attempt to wrestle the plain reading of Matt 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21 into the Creeds and Church history. Love br. David - Canada.

This was a really good conversation and explanation of the Inmillennial perspective. I didn’t find it much different from my partial preterist/postmillennial view, just a little variation of it. After I finished watching the video I ordered a copy of the book they were discussing to get a fuller explanation. I’m sure it will be beneficial.
