All multiplayer games should have an option to select upon installation your age, and based on that who do you want to interact with.
Like having segments of age under 14yo or 18-22yo, or over 25yo, and all the matchups to be done ONLY with your selected age group. It doesn't have to be just your own, but people over 25 usually won't want to interact with a 15yo and vice versa
