Thanos didn't attack and waited for the big guns to be gone: - Odin - the Ancient One - Yondu with his arrow

Yondu: The only person that can kill people in CURSIVE.

Michael Rooker made this character special. Got introduced as a seemingly forgettable angry former boss villain for Star Lord , ended up becoming one of the most awesome and unforgettable characters in the entire franchise with more heart and soul than most actual heroes. He is forever missed.

I love how Yondu and Rocket are behaving more like villains here than heroes or antiheroes. The sadistic murderhappy smiles on their faces while they're mowing down all the ravagers.

I legit do NOT know why any of them thought betraying Yondu was a good idea.

It's still a bit chilling to stop and think that even in a world with Thanos, The Infinity Stones, and all the rest... Yondu still managed to be one of the probably top 5 most catastrophically lethal things around.

There’s something I just realized that makes this scene so much more satisfying. When Ego plays a song that Meredith Quill liked, he’s doing it to manipulate Peter. He has to explain in painstaking detail how he and Peter are the Sailor in the song “Brandy” and how they live on a higher plane of existence where they cannot get the girl. When Yondu plays a song that Meredith Quill enjoyed, he’s doing it to honor Peter. He also doesn’t need to say a single word to make it clear that he is JosĂ© in “Come a Little Bit Closer”. He’s going to enjoy every bloody minute of his revenge against the mutineers for killing all crew members who remained loyal even in the face of Yondu’s continued protection of his boy. Also, JosĂ© gets the girl while the sailor leaves her stranded.

1:04 Anyone else notice how they all stopped dead in their tracks as soon as they hear Yondu whistle. They KNEW they were all screwed 😂

the fact he didn't kill everyone in the first film really shows how much he was just letting quill get away with stuff.

What a cinematic masterpiece it was. The moment when the low keys of the opera was played and yondu and rocket were enjoying the killing with the arrow kicking the ass of everyone really defines what a cinematic masterpiece it is

I know it’s Yondu’s moment, but having Rocket and Groot there makes it ten times better, if any of the guardians deserved to be in this awesome scene it’d be them. Perfect mix of the natural storyline and a great stand alone scene.

Yondu woulda been wayyy more valuable as a hero in infinity war than star lord

When you realize, Yondu needed for nothing other than running the ship, he was essentially 99% of the firepower alone.

Has anyone addressed that with how good his pitch and breath control must be to be that precise when whistling Yandu probably had an incredible singing voice.

A small detail I absolutely love about this scene is that one grunt who yells "NO!" when Taser Face announces Yondu's escape. That delivery just sells the fear so well.

This is supposed to be humorous, but damn, that is actually a terrifying weapon. He could have soloed the guardians easily if they didn't know him.

In retrospect I never really realized how much more stylish and artistic the Guardians movies were when compared to the rest of the MCU. James Gunn is a fantastic filmmaker, and I think with him the future of DC is in good hands.

I still have this song in my playlist purely because of how awesome this scene was and still is.

I can't explain how much I love James Gunn for this set-piece alone
