It's strange how this song instills such a sense of aching nostalgia to me. I never listened to it growing up, I was still an infant when it was released, I feel as though I shouldn't have this sort of attachment to a song I only discovered so recently. I'm not sure, something about the quality of the music and the slightly rough, color-muted camerawork showing such a mundane situation makes me nostalgic for something I was never there for, and it fascinates me quite a lot.

I remember seeing this music video on VH1 at like 2am back when I was a kid, no older than 10 years old. The feeling of wanderlust I had after the video ended, just wanting to get out of my house in the suburbs and wanting to see the world, it hit me so hard.
