It was a cold and damp day at Putnam Park Road Course on October 3, 2015. The high temp was about 49 degrees, it was blustery and it had rained overnight. Got 4 pretty good, smooth practice sessions in and then it started spitting rain a bit during this session.
I learned - once again - how unpredictable road racing can be. All is well though. I low-sided exiting turn 8, sort of out of the blue, other than the few rain drops, and messed up my bike a little. Fairing damage, foot peg sharpened to a point and a broken clip on. That's it. I was back on the track for the last two sessions of the day without missing a beat or a session.
Expect the unexpected, I guess.
