I was on the train while this song came on, a homeless person stood in the carriage and asked for any little help or spare change through the cold evening. The awkwardness is expected, as usual. It’s hard and vulnerable to put yourself out there to ask for help with dignity. Felt like a sign, I had no spare change, but I stopped him and gave him some mini chocolate bars I picked up from work. Probably not of the greatest help, but makes my heart tremble when his eye lit up and said ‘oooh thank you’. Not sure what the point is here, but feels like something I should remember.
